About the LAST Peaks Island Calendar
In case you have never seen the Peaks Island Calendar, it is a black and white photo calendar, spiral bound and glossy faced. It measures 11 x 17 and comes in a big envelope. Over the fifteen years it has been around, the calendar has become a favorite for islanders and summer people alike. Customers tell me that their families count on receiving it for Christmas or Hanukkah every year. It features thirteen 8"x 10" photographs of Peaks Island taken by locals and people from away, none of whom are professional photographers. Mostly, they are just people who love Peaks Island and want to share their impressions of it with 700 other people. A contest is held each August and the public picks the winners at the Peaks Café by democratic process (voting). The winning shots make the photographers happy and famous. They also receive three free calendars as a token of my appreciation. After all, the calendar would not exist were it not for them. Calendars may be preordered and I mail them out (or hand deliver them on the island) around December 1st. Yes, it is a trust thing. I promise you that I will send your calendars and they will arrive in plenty of time for the holidays. It has the usual information about full moons, holidays, dead presidents, etc, and some local information, too. Also, it has lots of sayings on my friends' and family's birthdays.
I recently moved to the mainland, and it seems a natural time to stop doing the calendar. It was a good run but it is time to retire. Others will rise to the task and there will be other Peaks Island Calendars. I look forward to seeing them.
Where to get a calendar
- The Peaks Café from Thanksgiving through Christmas. Open daily from 6AM to 2PM
- The Holiday Craft Fair at the Inn on Peaks Saturday, December 6 from 9AM to 2PM

What I need to fill your order
- Your name, address, phone number, and the number of calendars you want. You have the option of having them mailed to different US addresses or all to you. Just let me know.
- Your check should be made payable to Kathleen Beecher.
- I also accept VISA /MasterCard through December 31. I need the card number, expiry date, AND code on back. Sorry, no credit sales after that date.
- You can do the math or leave it to me. ALL ORDERS MUST BE PREPAID
- Price: $18 each (6 or more: $15 each) plus S & H: $3.00 each
