In Marty Braun's beautiful airbrush painting of my house above, you can see Ram Island Ledge Light on the left, and Portland Head Light as a thin white line in the distant middle, just past the rocky ledge of Cushing Island. See more of Marty's work at www.hoganbraun.com.

The house commands a large corner lot on a curve in the road on the backshore of Peaks Island. The unobstructed view extends more than 180 degrees from Cousins Island in the northeast to Portland in the west and is dotted with five lighthouses. It is quite a light show after dark. In fact, Portland Head Light's powerful beam sweeps through the living room and master bedroom every night. Surrounded by wild salt spray roses and bittersweet, this 1930's classic style cottage has been updated and has all the amenities. Panoramic views of the ocean and five lighthouses from 3 sides of the house with a large private yard.
